Rear Window…
(Chuck) No pictures yet. Scott got the rear bumper fixed and back on the car. I worked out the wiring a bit more — I found a couple of the fuses have melted. One of them was the front electric fan, which is completely rusted. The other blow fuse was for the HVAC blower.
I’m kinda shocked that the fuses melted as opposed to just blowing out and stopping the current.
We also took out the rear window using the kick-method. After Brice’s last time with the tempered glass, I came up with the idea of covering the entire surface of the window with duct tape before we started the fun. I would highly recommed this for anybody in the future — the window came out in one piece.
Next came the seriously fun part — burning off the urethane adhesive used to hold the glass onto the car.
- Bumper re-attached with new mounting plates.
- Taping up the window
- Chuck Kicking out the glass...as gently as possible.
- Brice prying out the glass
- Glass most of the way out.
- Keith witht the rear window.
- Umm... car is on fire.
- Keith and Brice removing the adhesive.
